Two planes are shown already in flight, on their way to the invasion.

The inscription reads OPERATION OVERLORD, and poppies are shown as an act of remembrance. The date of the invasion, 6 June 1944, is inscribed on the coin’s edge. The obverse features the official portrait of King Charles III by Raphael Maklouf.
